Search Engine Optimization - Onpage Optimization Techniques

So far, you've learnt how to find the right topic and how to structure your website. Next, we will move into the bolts and nuts of a webpage. The gurus call it Onpage Search Engine Optimization.

(Note: Website is made up of many webpages.)

Onpage Search Engine optimizations are things that you do within your webpage at the time when you are building it. It involves optimizing the following parameters:

• Title tag
• Header tags
• Alt image tags
• Meta Tags
• Etc.

Here is the list of things you need to do whenever you build a webpage.

1) Make sure that the keywords in your article appear in the beginning of your
tag. For example, if the keyword is "Dog Grooming Equipment", then you can have a
tag that reads,

Dog Grooming Equipment - How To Find Cheap And Good Tools For Dog Grooming

Side note:

The titles of all your articles MUST look interesting and carry some suspense. This is because when people do a search in the Search Engine, Google in particular, your title is the first thing they will see. If you title is boring, they will not click!

2) Copy the keyword from the '
' tag and paste it into the ;

3) The keywords must be mentioned in the FIRST sentence of the FIRST paragraph.

4) The keywords must be mentioned in the Last paragraph.

5) Overall keyword density should be 1 to 3%. (Generally, I just make sure every paragraph has 1 - 3 keywords)

That's it!

When you are done, load the page to the internet and go to http://www.instantposition.com/seo_doctor.cfm, type in the web address and the keyword you have optimized and make sure you score around 4.5 to 5 points.

Forget about other parameters. As I've mentioned, Onpage optimization is no longer important for Search Engine Optimization. You just want to spend enough time to do what is important.
